How to convert an AVI to MP4

Do you need to convert AVI videos to MP4 for Premier, After Effects, Final Cut etc?? I did, and I found a great FREE program that does just this. The program is called HandBrake. It is an open source video transcoder, available to download at https://handbrake.fr. Don’t do what I did and waste hours upon hours downloading programs that make you pay after a few videos. I tried iDealshare VideoGo and it cut my videos in half and deleted the rest!!! Plus you had to pay for it after a while.

HandBreak is AMAZING. I am only writing this blog in hopes of reaching others who have read all the adobe help forums and come away even more confused and angry that their programs do not allow the import of AVI.
